Is your hair feeling the summer heat? All fried, dried, and splitting? Your hair definitely takes a toll during the summer months with the over exposure to hair products, styling tools, sun, chlorine, and salt water. Your 'do needs a break and some tender loving care.
There are several at home products that can help revive your hair health and life. Here are a few ticks and trips below to get your hair back in tip top shape.
1- Go Get Your Hair Trimmed and Styled
Sometimes in the summer, during the hustle and bustle of parties, beach, school, work, and living, we forget to take care of our hair. So as Fall starts to peek around the corner, its time to schedule a hair appointment and get your hair trimmed, maybe even create a new hairstyle more appropriate for Fall. New can always be refreshing and fun!
2- Try An At Home Deep Conditioning Mask
Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque: a revitalizing hair reconstructor for dry, damaged hair.A combination of macadamia oil and argan oil along with tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extracts to rebuild the hair, leaving it deeply nourished for improved elasticity and shine with long lasting benefits.
3- Use A Gentle Cleanser
While you want to get your hair clean, many cleansers out there actually strip your hair of natural oils. Opt for a gentle cleanser like Bain De Terre Jasmine Moisturizing Shampoo. This shampoo is a luxurious hydrating shampoo designed to restore moisture and shine. This keeps hair strong, healthy and lustrous.
4- Use a Heat Protectant Daily
Even if you aren't using styling products on your hair, applying a heat protectant will help protect your hair from daily damage. A light spritz or application is all you need. Try KQC Heat Protectant Shine Spray. This is an ion enriched polishing complex formulated for superior heat protection and ultra gloss hair shine. My favorite characteristic about this is that it is lightweight and non-greasy that works to soften and polish hair and eliminates frizz while protecting my strands.
5- Maintain, Maintain, Maintain
Most people always start off with a solid plan. They continue this for a week or two and then kind of fall off the wagon. Allocate a specific day or two during the week and set aside extra time to apply the deep conditioner or any other hair masque that you use. Make sure to get those maintenance trims and use a gentle cleanser daily or every other day (as often as you normally cleanse) and use a heat protectant daily.
