Long Hair 101

Hi ladies, I expect you all had a wonderful weekend! Monday is here, yet again, so onto tackling the new week with excitement and expectations. In today's blog we will be discussing long hair and how to deal with it when it's too long. I personally find it difficult to style my hair all the time when it has great length... it takes much, much longer! The easiest thing seems to chop it off. However that doesn’t always end up feeling like a good decision. So ladies, here are a couples of things you can do with your long stands.

Hairdo: Okay, when the hair grows out it becomes heavier and harder to style, it begins loosing body and volume. And what ends up happening is that when you don’t style it ends up looking messy. So it becomes a battle in trying to keep your hair looking decent. My advice is to do your hair and try to maintain for an extra day or two; on the second or third day use dry shampoo to keep it looking clean and fresh. Of course you may have to retouch some strands here and there but it will not take a lot of effort. In doing this you will also cause less damage to your hair.

Easy Hair Styles: Another way to style long hair is to roll it up. A lot of times we are in a rush to get out of the house and we don't have the time to do our hair. So my advice is to buy banana clips. These clips look great on any hair type and they are super easy to put on. Something else you can rock is a high messy bun. And ladies keep in mind that you can always go back to the basics and work with what you have. Rock a French braid or a side braid every now and then, (they are not childish) they are quite trendy.

Trim or Cut:  Okay, if you're like me you may not like getting haircuts. The reason why I don't like getting cuts is because I find that I usually end up regretting how much I chopped off.... And boy, hair takes a while to grow back. So if you are frustrated because you find that your hair is losing shape and becoming very hard to style, do not cut it on impulse unless you're certain you want to rock another look( trust me, I've done it way too many times). If you like having long hair, simply trim it and ask your hairstylist to thin it out, that way it will be much easier to manage. Getting trims every 3-4 months is important it keeps your hair healthy and with great body.

Very well, that concludes today's blog. May this week be a good week to you all, until next time.
