With summer coming to an end and fall
slowly creeping up on us, we find ourselves with piles of clothes that are no
longer weather appropriate. I mean, it is not as if I can rock my daisy dukes
and tank tops in the middle of October, right? Wrong! Incorporating your
favorite summer pieces into your fall wardrobe is quite possible and not as
challenging as one might think.
Tank Tops
Now, tank tops are easy. Throw a cardigan
over them and your out the door. However, if you want to jazz it up a little
more, try adding a chunky belt or scarf to completely transform a summer tank
into a fall staple.
Shorts
While any sensible person would not be
caught dead in shorts after August, fashionistas are not sensible so we figure
out ways to make it work. Lucky for us, knit tights are quite popular this
season and they pair beautifully with shorts. They will be sure to keep you
warm while giving your shorts a high fashion, weather appropriate twist.
Dresses
I am a huge fan of dresses in the fall and
winter. No, I am not talking about sweater dresses. Summer dresses are great
for fall because they add a little character and uniqueness to an outfit.
Personally, I love pairing bright dresses a dark cardigan, tights and flats or
a leather jacket and boots for a little edge. There are so many different ways
to style them!
Colored denim
We saw A LOT of colored denim this summer.
It was everywhere! Fortunately, this trend will be following us into winter.
While we will be seeing darker colored denim, it does not mean we have to get
rid of our brighter denim. Contrary to popular belief, bright colors are
perfect for the fall. Bright denim makes for the perfect pop of color to a
otherwise drab outfit.
Do not be intimated by fall! Bring out your
favorite summer pieces and have fun with them. The new fall trends are amazing
but, it does not mean we have to bid our favorite summer trends adieu.
