Pair it With Your Colored Demin!

What should you pair with colored denim? As undeniably, cool as colored denim may be, choosing pieces to pair with your bright pants may be a bit of a challenge for some. Choose the right pieces and your climbing your way up the fashion ladder but a misstep and it will look like you got dressed in the dark.
.
Personally, I love the trend. It is a great way to change things up and the bright, cheerful colors are perfect for Spring and Summer! As with any trend, figuring out how to wear it correctly can be a problem.
.
I have come up with a few suggestions that should make styling your bright pants and tad bit easier.
.
1.) Throw in some neutrals!
You can never go wrong with pairing bright colors with black, white, brown or tan. This is almost a guaranteed way to get any outfit right without giving it much thought!
.
2.) Color block!
Like colored denim, color blocking is HUGE right now! It is a bold style move but what is wrong with taking a little risk now and then? When color blocking, it is a good idea to stick to the same color family. If you are working with pastel pants, choose a pastel top and so on.
.
3.) Pair it with a print.
A fun way to rock your colored jeans is to pair them with a bold print. Polka dots, nautical stripes, floral prints and tribal prints all look super chic and playful.
.
4.) Add a jacket or blazer.
While the weather may be warming up right about now, it is still ok to throw on a jacket every now and then. Blazers are super chic and lightweight jackets are always super cute.
.
What do you think?
Are you into the colored jean trend? What have you been styling them with? Do you see this trend staying around for a while? What other styling challenges or problems have you run into lately? Leave a comment below and tell us what you think!

  1. I'm so glad colors are 'in!' My daughter wears them, I like them...I still wear my pants around my waste and NOT skinny, much to my daughter's chagrin, but that's what us old folks do. ;)
