The Snooze Addict Hair Tutorial

I have spent a lot of time pressing the snooze button on my alarm clock and running out of the front door like a nocturnal animal out in the sunlight over the years. I certainly know the importance of being able to do quick and easy hairstyles that make you look like a million dollars, when you only have five minutes to get to class on time, or to catch the subway for work. We've all been there and well, I think it's safe to say that every day is like this for me. However, it's not all bad news because my lack of ability to wake up on time has allowed me to master the easiest and chicest hairstyle out there that will have you cutting corners and making it to your destinations, looking fabulous in no time. Here is my favourite quick and easy hair tutorial that you will ever need when trying to survive from an excessive snooze-pressing morning.

I named this hair tutorial over the one step that takes this look from gross bed head to a glamorous, red carpet look. Ponytails can be so super boring, and if you've been sleeping your hair all night, chances are that you're going to wake up and find pieces sticking up over here, flopping over there and twisting up into a spiral back there. Hey! It happens to all of us. However, these little hair strands that are ever so sporadic can make it very difficult to pull your hair up into a cute high ponytail, which is why I created the Flip It.

Comb your hair back into a low ponytail, allowing pieces to fall where they may. After all, your bus comes in 5 minutes so you don't really have time to play around with it, right? Once you have tied your ponytail, separate it into two pieces above the elastic, so in between your head and the hair elastic. When parting your ponytail into the two sections, be sure to do so right through your hair so you can see that the middle is clear of hair strands. Take your ponytail and flip it up and through the hole that was created with the separation, pulling it back down and under. Pull and tighten.

This action will create a twist right at the start of your pony tail, not only hiding the elastic in a unique and chic way, but adding texture and personality to a rather basic look. From here, you have several options to continue with a braid, or a bun if your hair is really funky from a night full of tossing and turning, but you can most certainly leave it, as it and you will look absolutely fabulous. This hair tutorial literally takes only seconds to accomplish and no one would ever know that you crawled out of bed only seconds before leaving your house. To revamp this look if you find yourself snoozing it until minutes before you are required to clock in at your job every day, switch it up from a higher pony tail, to a side one, or a super low pony tail.

French Fishtail Tutorial

It's a hairy situation - but a good one and a "must know" tutorial for anyone that loves looking fabulous and of course, you're one of those people, right? There are several reasons as to why I love this hair style, but the most important is how simple it is to do! And any hairstyle that can be perfected from home within minutes is a hair style that you're going to love rocking! Secondly, this hair style up do is elegant, yet fun and flirty. It's not to prim and proper, and it's definitely not too informal either. It's the perfect mix of the two so guess what, ladies? You guessed it! You can rock this up do from day to night - right from the boardroom to the bar. Amazing, right? Okay, so lets get started on the steps!

If you can do a fishtail braid, you're good to get going! However, if you don't know how to do a fishtail braid, do a little Internet search and you'll be mastering this braid within minutes.

The first step is to brush your hair back as if you were putting it into a pony tail, but let your strands fall onto your back, instead of pulling it up into an elastic.

Once you have brushed your locks backwards, part the back into two pieces to get started on your fishtail braid. Just like a french braid, you want to continue to grab pieces from the side to add into the two strands until all of your hair is pulled back into the braid. Continue the braid until you reach the bottom of your head, top of your neck and once you have done that, tie an elastic here to secure the braid.

Now it's time for you to continue the fishtail braid down the rest of your loose locks. Remember, fishtail braids look best when done loosely, so pull at the sides of the braid once you have completed it to loosen it up a bit!

Clip, clip, clip! Grab those bobby pins and start clipping your braid up into a bun, above where your first elastic was placed. Be sure to play around with different placements of the bobby pins for different looks, but whatever you do, make sure that elastic is covered! You essentially want the braid to fold up into a unique, braided bun, covering any visible elastics.

VOILA! Now your hair is pulled back from your face, and off your neck and is there any better hair style for summer other than one that keeps your fresh and flirty? It only takes minutes for you to create this adorable hairstyle and you're off to a sexy start of your day, and end of your day as well! A look that can go from day to night is one that every woman must know! Remember ladies, simple elements within your hairstyle create a simply fast and adorable do!
