Beauty Trends Around the World: Take a Little Beauty Detour Into France
The cliché “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, while
overused, is actually quite true. The definition of beauty changes as you
travel to new geographical areas, even within your own country! For the next
few blog posts, let’s take a look at some countries that know how to set the
example for beauty and allure.
French women perfectly embody casual chic and nonchalance.
How do they perfect such a lovely look with minimal effort? A ma chérie that is where they
fool you. Parisian beauty is a perfect balance of healthy eating, activity and
preparation.
Continuous use of
masks. So you try a mask maybe once a month or every other month, just to
have a little you time while reading a good book or watching a movie. Well, the
women of France take this to a whole other level – once or twice a week!!! And while some may dish on
store or designer brand masks, most Parisian woman have their own family
ingredients for homemade masks. Ranging from lavender, seaweed, eggs, and oil,
everyone has their own tricks of the trade to get their beauty glow.
Secrets of seaweed. Don’t
let the strong odor scare you off. Seaweed’s beneficial properties are off the
chart! Seaweed for beauty purposes, also known as thalassotherapy, has been
widely used since the 1800s. Parisian women, when possible, use seaweed baths,
wraps, and massages. In addition to lowering stress, reducing muscle aches, and
relieving skin conditions – psoriasis, eczema, acne, etc, seaweed baths, wraps,
and massages are associated with body toning, slimming, and toxin release. Hit
your nearest ocean and drag that big, slimy gunk of seaweed to your home!
Mesotherapy
indulgence. Am I talking about Japanese tofu soup? Mesotherapy not miso
soup J
Mesotherapy is a type of facial injection but nothing like Botox. Mesotherapy
is the injection of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids into the middle layer
of the skin, also known as the mesoderm, to stimulate metabolism and production
of collagen and elastin. Sounds more natural than Botox and much healthier!
Medical…Pedicure?
The French women take their beauty to a whole other level with the medical
pedicure, sans the polish. The medical pedicure is a government-licensed
practice where a practitioner uses instruments to groom your feet and toes. The
end result includes baby-soft feet and perfectly trimmed nails. While there is
no polish, your feet are absolutely lovely. Talk about a pedicure!!! You won’t
even need the polish after that.

Makeup Removers
Hello
ladies, I hope you all had a good work and/ or school week. School started for
me this week so I’m trying to get used to my new schedule and manage time as
best as I can...but then again, aren’t we all? But enough of that, today I want
to focus on makeup removers. If you haven’t yet noticed, a lot of the time
when one doesn’t remove the makeup from the night before the skin begins to
look oily and sometimes pimples or zits appear. This occurs because we are unintentionally
clogging up our pores by not rinsing off our face. And I don’t know about
you guys, but I don’t like waking up with pimples or an oily face. So, what
type of make removers are there?
Towels Wipes: Alright, I’m not sure how many of
you have seen these wipe like makeup removers. Let me tell you that I have tried
them and they are amazing, especially when you’re really tired or lazy to
remove your makeup. They are wonderful to even keep by your bedside. Make it a
rule to at least wipe your face clean
before going to sleep. I promise you won’t regret it. For those ladies that
have sensitive skin I suggest buying the wipes from Aveeno, as they are very
gentle on the skin.
Water
Based Makeup Removers: Alright, with water based makeup removers it is very easy to remove
the makeup. In fact I could argue that most people use this type of remover. The reason why people like it some much is because it doesn’t leave
the face oily or dry. In fact this type of makeup remover only requires cotton
pads and the solution itself. All one is required to do is wipe the face thoroughly. This solution has the perfect balance for most skin types.
Oil
Based Makeup Removers: Okay, when it comes to oily makeup removers one must be really
careful. They work great in removing the makeup. However, since it’s oil we’re
talking about it can make the skin very greasy. For this particular reason I
highly suggest to only use oil makeup remover if you suffer from dry skin;
this will make sure that your skin gets the extra moisture it needs. On that
note, I should also let you guys in a little secret. Believe it or not, you may
use virgin olive oil to remove your makeup. If you decide to try it out, I
suggest using just a little bit, and then rinsing your face off with some
water. I have tried it myself and the results are pretty fair.
And that brings us to the end of our blog. I hope you all find the right type of makeup remover for your skin type. May you all have a great weekend ahead and get some rest, until next time.

Bathing Suit Tips
Hey ladies, I hope you all enjoyed a great weekend and got the rest that you all needed. For today's blog, I would like to discuss swimsuit talk. And what kind of bathing suit works best with each body, because let's face it, we all have something we wish we could change about our body. Let’s take a look at the types of bathing suits there are.
One Piece: One pieces look good on everyone. If you however, feel that you have extra skin around your belly, one piece is the way to go. They are perfect because they hug around the mid-section and make one look slimmer. These swimsuits work wonders. And as for most things, wearing darker colours would make one look even slimmer.
Top: Alright, if any of you feel like you weren’t blessed with enough breasts, do not worry. There is a solution. When shopping for a bathing suit, whether a bikini or a one piece, make sure it has a design, ruffles work the best. Strips are the one thing to stay away from because they tend to make you bosoms disappear, especially if they are thin stripes. Another thing that works is having a top that has a pretty picture on it, and having bottoms that are plain. That tends to balance your body out, especially if you have a bum.
Bottoms: Well ladies, first thing is first, there are different kinds of bottoms, however the most common one is the underwear like bottom. Now, to compliment the figure even more, I suggest wearing the sides of the underwear a little higher. This creates the illusion of having longer legs. Another type of bottoms I have seen are the one that are skirts and have ruffles. This type of bottom works wonders if you feel like you lack a bum; they make cute little skirts. Finally, there are the swimsuit shorts; these shorts look great if you have a bit of a bum, they really compliment the figure.
Okay ladies, there you have today's blog. I hope you all enjoyed the tips and found them helpful. Always remember, you are looking for the best bathing suit the compliment your individual figure, not the other way around. And don't forget ladies, that bathing suites can always be mixed and matched.

Rocking Fake Nails
Are you the type of women who loves long nails but
has no luck in growing them? Do you constantly try and try but either break or
chip? If this is the case do not worry, there are many different types of nails
you can rock, (I myself can't grow my nails, they always break). Or perhaps you
are the type of women who likes to go all out when attending fancy events (your
nails have to look just as good your outfit). I would like to share with you
the different types of nails you can wear either on a daily basis or to an
event (I have personally tried them all).
Out of the Box Nails: Okay, many of you have probably tried wearing typical fake nails, the ones that require the glue. These types of nails I find are good to use for especial events. I personally find that you have to be super careful in what you do for them not to come off! So if you do decide to purchase these nails make sure that when you go out you carry the glue with you; it’s always good to be prepared just in case.
Impress Nails: okay, these type of nails are fairly new to the market, they are super easy to use and don't require a lot of work, ( you literally just press them on!). They are very cool nails to use, and they feel more resistant than the ones you glue on and therefore last longer. The only thing about these nails is that when one falls off chances are you will have to take the rest of them off because you can't glue them back on. On another note these nails are great because unlike any other type of fake nails do not damage your actual nails!
Salon Nails: Alright, let's talk acrylic and gel nails. These nails are nice to get but they can get a bit pricy depending on where you go to get them done. These nails of course are the ones that last the longest if you properly take care of them (this means going in for refills). On the other hand they can also be very damaging to your actual nails, especially if you try taking them off on your own. The end result won't be pretty. But if you do want something that's going to last you a long time salon nails are the way to go!
Very well ladies, these are a couple of suggestions on nails you can try wearing. Remember with all this new technology there are many alternatives you can try, it's all about trying new products and seeing which one works best for you.
