"I'm Too Sexy For My Shirt" Week 3

Hello Readers!!!

How's it going?! Are your abs totally ripped now? No? Well silly goose, of course they aren't! It's only been a week! But keep at it. My main goal with introducing these workouts is for you to be able to custom create a work out that targets different areas of your body.

NOTE: Remember, there has to be balance. If you work out your pecs, you must also work out your back. If you focus on your torso, you must also dedicate days to working out your legs and glutes. If you do bicep curls you should also do tricep dips. Balance balance balance.

And no, our goal here isn't to be one a bodybuilder! But if it is, more power to you! Lots of time in the gym, drinking many protein shakes, and lots and lots of tanning spray! :)

While skinny may seem ok (and unfortunately highly touted as something to be achieved), skinny is just not healthy. No muscle definition and little to not fat is unhealthy! Our bodies need fat! Our bodies need muscle. Our goal here is to obtain a healthy, fit body and make you feel comfortable in your clothes and even without your clothes. Plus, the earlier, sooner and longer that you work out, the longer your body will last in your later years. Help your future self out and get active! 30 minutes a day for 5 days! At least 150 minutes of activity a week. That's only 2 hours and 30 minutes. An investment that you will be thanking yourself for 10, 20, 30 years from now.

So for this week let's focus on workouts that balance each other out. All these work outs are provided with the goal that they can be done at home. Weights can be substituted for cans of soup or water bottles.

Day 1 & 3: Chest and Back

Back:

Exercise 1: When you bring your arms back, do not do it in a swinging motion. While she is doing it fairly quick, you want controlled movements allowing your back muscles to do the work rather than momentum. As you bring your arms back, make sure to pinch your shoulder blades together. Bring arms back forward and release your shoulder blades.

Exercise 2 & 3: Same thing, controlled movements, pinched shoulder blades when you are drawing back and release on the forward. Please do not arch here. Keep your back straight from head to tailbone.

Exercise 4: You can opt to not do this for this week since the opposite muscle group is abs. OR you can challenge yourself and do this this 4th exercise and include an ab workout from last week's list. If you do use this workout, make sure you are not swinging your legs. Controlled movement (yeah, yeah you know) and if you dont' force your legs to go too high. Go as high as you can without arching or pushing your chest out, and bring it back down. Who cares whether it is only an inch or two from your starting point. Better to have good form than ruin your back because you tried to reach too far too soon.

Chest: Chest workouts are not for men only! Chest workouts help lift the chest area and tone it also! I find these women funny to watch because they are just so happy to be working out with you :) But they are doing something right! The workouts are great!

Remember only you know whether you are really performing to the best of your abilities. Hold yourself accountable and be the loudest and best cheer team for yourself.

For these exercises, watch the video through and learn the exercises. Then do about 3 sets of 6-8 repetition. The weight you use should be enough that the last couple repetitions are a difficulty to do. You shouldn't be able to do all 8 reps without feeling something in your pecs. If you are just blowing through these workouts, then you do not have heavy enough weights.

For the push ups, be sure to maintain a straight back....and of course a smile!

Day 2 & 4: Cardio

For Day 2, I want you to do the interval training from last week.

1st Set: First ½ of first block/driveway/space of land: walk and stretch. Last ½ of first block/ driveway/space of land: light jog

2nd Set: SPRINT! Yes I said it, SPRINT! Go as fast as you can for as long as you can. When you feel that you can’t go as fast anymore, keep going as fast as you can! Even if you slow down from your initial sprint speed, it is a-okay. I started with a crazed out “I can do this” sprint and about half way I was already jogging! But don’t worry about it and make your final goal the end of the block.

3rd Set: Walk the distance

4th Set: SPRINT! Do it all over again. As fast as you can, even if you slow down during the distance, for the whole way! Even if you slow down to a jog that is fine! Just as fast as you can at the moment! And don’t give up!

5th Set: Cool down and Walk. Do this twice if you want a challenge or if you feel that the first round was not good enough! You can do it!

For Day 4 cardio, I want you to do a little bit of long distance jogging. You set what is long distance for you and your goal time. My goal here is to work on your endurance. A good goal to set would be to jog for 10 minutes. But maintain that jog for that 10 minutes! Or you can set the goal to jog for half a mile (a running app will help or a predetermined route around your house) and continuously jog until you complete that half mile. Whatever your goal, you set it, you achieve it.

First Impression: Meeting his Parents

image.jpeg

Welcome back to Monday. Let’s all hope for a productive and stress free week. In today's blog we will talk about first impression with the in laws. Meeting the in laws can be quite nerve wrecking, especially if you really like the person you're with. And then again every person is different; therefore different parents have different opinions and expectations for who their child dates. One thing is for sure though, all parents wants what's best for their children. Therefore, today I want to share with you some basic information on how to prepare for your first encounter with the in laws.

Background Information: Okay, having an idea of what your boyfriend’s parents are like in certainly helpful. You definitely don't want to jump in a river if you don't want to jump in a river if you do know how to swim. When you go on a date ask him about his parents, ask him basic things, just to get an idea of what they are like. That way when you visit with them you will have an idea of what you can expect.

Outfit: Alright, when it comes to your outfit you want to make sure it's parent appropriate. Parents tend to be more conservative than their kids, therefore it's important not to wear something too revealing. At the same time however you don't want to wear anything too formal if you're are just visiting with them. Dressing simple and cute is always best. First impressions sure leave a lot to say, especially to the parents of your loved one.

Conversation: Starting a conversation is not as tricky as keeping one. Maintaining the conversation can be very difficult if the parents are quite! Believe me. However I can promise you that it will get better with time. When you first meet them, you want to talk about basic things about yourself, such as what you do (school wise or work wise). Another thing you can talk about is your boyfriend; you can ask his parents how he was like as a child, what sort of trouble did he cause? Haha. Asking parents about their children usually gets them in a chatty mood. So ladies, if you have absolutely nothing to talk about with them, resort to these measures!

Okay, there you have it my friends. I hope you find these tips helpful if you are planning on meeting your in laws anytime soon. Have a wonderful week.

Trustworthy Nutritional Supplements for Hair

Pills to enhance your beauty aren't typically recommended, because they usually never work. However, this pill bottle is certainly the rarity. Not only have celebrities and their stylists have been thriving on these little majestic pill tablets, but the secret has recently been released so you can now enjoy Hollywood style the same way your favorite celebrities do. Get ready for some long, luscious and rather beautiful hair that you have only ever dreamed of, or saw in the Tangled cartoon movie, because after you pop a few of these, you'll begin to see your hair thickening and livening with the fabulous increase of rich nutrients that lye within these capsules.

WHAT ARE THEY?
This is an excellent question, and certainly the first one that should be asked because you never want to take pills when you have no idea what's in them, right? Luckily, everything is positive when it comes to what lies within these capsules because Phyto Phytophanere Supplements are dietary supplements that contain the overabundance of all the fabulous stuff you need for long, strong, healthy hair... And nails, to boot.

TRUSTED BY TOP CELEBS
It's definitely no secret that some celebrities do indulge in "supplements" that don't fall amongst the healthiest of decisions, but luckily, Phyto Phytophanere Supplements aren't within that category. In fact, these supplements are probably one of the smartest decisions that celebrities have made when it comes to looking their best. Some of Hollywood's hottest stars have trusted the advice from their stylists when it comes to Phyto Phytophanere Supplements. In fact, Gwen Stafani and Sofia Vergara both share the same celebrity stylist who actually initially brought attention to these pills back in 2008.
Her exact words were, “Just thought of you as I was ordering this amazing Vitamin Supplement for a client. All of my girls I’m getting OFF of the extensions, and want their own hair to grow quick quick quick… These are the pills. I have 4 clients on them and their hair’s growing amazingly and it’s not as harsh and less expensive as taking pre-natals.”

POSITIVE PRICING
Often times, anything that is recommended amongst the hottest people of Hollywood usually comes with a price that only those people can afford. Again, this is another rarity that comes with Phyto Phytophanere Supplements because the average person can actually afford these nutritional supplements. A bottle is typically around $60 and contains 120 pills. Now, it's recommended that you take two capsules a day, so that leaves you with two months for $60, if my math is correct. That's cheaper than hair extensions, and it's natural. There's nothing fake about it - Not even the results.

These are certainly thriving within the nutrition departments of stores, as well as within the hair of Hollywood's hottest celebrities. It's about time that you treat yourself to some unimaginable beauty that is healthy, trusted, affordable, and most importantly, that actually works!

Hats

And once again our favorite day of the week has arrived, woooh it's Friday! I hope you all had a productive week and an amazing weekend ahead. In today's blog I will be talking about hats. Not many women wear hats on the daily, but that doesn't mean they are not topic worthy. In fact there many different types of hats that can be styled according to your outfit, and you can even style the hat it’s self if you choose. Let’s take a look.

Caps: Alright, caps are definitely not very popular, and by that I mean, not many women wear them. Nevertheless they are pretty awesome to rock if
you feel comfortable with them. Caps are good to wear at the gym, they keep your hair out of the way (if you have long hair however you may also want to tie it up). Caps are also pretty cool to wear when you simply want to be comfortable in a pair of jeans/ shorts and a tank or beater; they give your look more POW. Wear your sneakers and you'll be good to go. These outfits are usually good to wear of you're going to an amusement park or just going for a walk on a trail.

Fedora Hats: Okay, these particular hats are more commonly seen. I personally think fedora hats look great on their own, without any decor. Some even come with lace on them, and they look very cute. The nice thing about these hats is that you can wear them with shorts/jeans/leggings and a pretty top, or a tank and cardigan. These hats can even be worn with summery dresses. Fedora hats unlike any other hats are very versatile. If you ever want to purchase a hat, I suggest giving the fedora hats a shot.

Beach Hats: Summer, summer summer! It's my favorite season. And I also happen to love beach hats!  When it comes to purchasing one of these hats I get them in different colors. Some already come with designs or decor, but most of them don't. For the ones that are not accessorized, there is no problem! If you purchase a plain beach hat you can accessorize it according to your outfit or bathing suit. You may decide to put a lace around it and tie a big bow or you can buy flower pins and place them on the side. The nice thing about these hats is that if you are wearing summery clothing they will always look good.

And there you are ladies; those are my tips on what outfits you can rock with all the different types of hats and how you can style beach hats. Remember to always mix and match and play around to see what looks best.

Week 2: "I'm Sexy And I Know It"

Hello Readers!
How was week 1 of workouts? Were you able to complete all the challenges? Some? One? Any step is the step in the right direction. Even if you could not complete all three sets or complete all the workouts, or skipped a day, that is completely fine! You need to start somewhere. Use this as your base point and slowly increase your activity every week.

I can tell you that I was incredibly sore and I am not afraid to admit it. There is definitely a good sore that says, "Yes, I used my body today beyond the ordinary day to day activities!" This week’s activities will be different and will help target different muscle groups and decrease boredom from doing the same workout time and time again.

And how silly of me to start the “week” on a Monday when I post this on a Wednesday. A-doy! “Smack palm to forehead”. So it’s a new week and a new workout plan. Let’s go readers!

Wednesday & Sunday - Cardio

We have a nice running path in our community that is broken up by residential streets. Find a good stretch of land or just use your street, going back and forth. Doesn’t matter where, just as long as you have a start and end stop (and yes, even your driveway will work! Have to start somewhere!). This is your challenge for cardio Wednesdays and Sundays (or whatever day you happen to read this).

Friday & Monday-Core

Oh man, I hate working out my core. I am so lazy about it and then I start to think I don’t need it. But working out your core is very important! Besides the aesthetically pleasing bonus of nice, carved and toned abs, working your core out helps support your lower back! Experiencing lower back pain? Work on posture and your abs!

Ok let’s ease into the core workouts. Nothing too difficult, but interesting enough that you aren’t just doing crunches! Yuck.

Instead of pictures, I thought it better that you actually see how to do the workout correctly. Last thing you want to do is hurt yourself because of bad form. See videos below for your core work out for today.

This first video is from DietHealth on Youtube:

Ab Exercise 1: Don’t cheat by lifting your butt crazy high in the air and DO NOT arch your back. Keep your back in a straight line and use controlled movements to bring your knee to your chest. You do not have to move as fast as she does. Less repetition with better form is better than a ton of repetitions and poor form.
Ab Exercise 2: Keep back straight please  Comment below on how you like these exercises. Looking to target a specific region on your body? Let me know and I will come up with a plan to help you target that area.
Ab Exercise 3: Again, keep your back straight from tailbone to head. Keep your eyes down. Use a mirror to help ensure that you are keeping proper form. Bring knees in slowly and push back out. You will find that this is an intermediate workout and that you may only find that you can only do 3-5 before feeling fatigued. And that is fine. This is your starting point. When you do this again on Monday, try for 1 or 2 more reps per set. Push up is option.

And don’t forget to pair these workouts with healthy eating. Healthy doesn’t mean cutting out the yummies but eating everything in moderation.

Things to Always Keep Near Your Bedside

Welcome back to Monday ladies. I hope all of you are having a productive day so far. Did you know that, everyone has an alarm clock, a phone, or a lamp by their bedside? But what are other things you should keep by your bed? For today’s blog I want to talk to you ladies about a few things that are always, great to keep beside your bed; so listen carefully and try them out!

Pen and Paper: Alright, in previous blogs I’ve told you that it’s always good to create a vision for yourself and set goals. But what if one night you’re lying in bed and all of the sudden you come up with a great idea? Something you must seek through with? Chances are that in the morning you will not remember all the details you had thought about the night before. Therefore the best thing to would be to write them out. Other times you may have crazy dreams that are so worth writing down…. And it’s best to do so as soon as you wake up, because dreams tend to be forgotten. I don’t recommend using your phone to type them out because, in the world of today, they are too distracting with all the apps our phones carry;  and we all know that once distracted our chain of thought is gone.

Facial Towels: Okay, you may be thinking, what can facial towels do for me? Well guess what. You can use them in the morning before getting up, as a method of waking yourself up without having to get out bed (I don’t know about you but I love walking up and laying in bed for a little bit before actually getting up) . Another thing you can use those face towels for is removing your make up. You know on those nights when you completely want to crash in bed? Yeah, I’m talking about those nights…. The facial towels will take your make up right off, which means you will wake up without a gross white spot on your face! Say no to pimples.

Water + Emergency Kit: Alright, water is always good to have beside your bed. Sometimes we get up in the middle of the night feeling super dehydrated! And that’s never good; it means you have to get out of bed, and try to fall asleep again.  Water is also essential to have by your bedside just in case (knock on wood) a natural disaster were to occur. Some people even go the extra mile and buy small first aid kits. And Like they all say, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Okay my friends there you have it. I hope you liked these tips I shared with you, and if you decide to try them out, let me know how they work out for you. Always keep in mind that some of our best ideas come to us while we are about to fall asleep. So if anything I highly suggest keeping that pen and paper by your bedside.
